APOLOGY IS FAR TOO LATE

12th May 2009

PRIME Minister Gordon Brown has finally said “sorry” over the MPs expenses scandal.

But his grovelling is too little, too late for many Brits.

The latest storm to hit Parliament is proof that our greedy politicians have been happily playing the system for years.

They may not have broken the law but they have slowly shattered Britain’s faith in its leaders.

People will need more than a hollow apology before they start forgiving MPs for this abuse of power.

We need a fresh start in Westminster – that means calling an early election to wash away the greedy money- grabbers.

By getting rid of the bad eggs, we may begin to restore trust in our politicians.

So if you’re really sorry, Gordon, send the country to the polling station – sooner rather than later.
