ALEX REID: I DON'T NEED JORDAN

ALEX Reid is to break free of wife Kate Price with his own big-money deals.

Celebrity Big Brother winner Alex Reid aims to prove he is a financial star in his own right – and not just husband to loaded Jordan.

Cage fighter Alex is in talks to have his own scent, clothes range and telly shows.

Alex said: “I had meetings last week about possible deals that I am really excited about – one for a fight clothing brand and sport supplements.

“I am also talking about two new TV shows. Then I might do an aftershave range for Christmas – splash on a dab of the Reidinator, I say.”

His plans come a week before the launch of Bravo TV show Alex Reid: The Fight of his Life.

He is also preparing for a televised cage clash with Tom “Kong” Watson, 26, in May and the launch of his film Killer Bitch.

Alex, 34, branched out on his own after his wife decided not to share the limelight with him in her reality TV show What Katie Did Next.

She said it was not going to be a joint programme like the one she shared with ex-husband Peter Andre, 37.

Kate, who has made a fortune from her own perfume, horsey clothing and books, said: “I don’t want to go down the same road with Alex.”

He admitted he is taking advice from Kate, 31, but insisted she does not call the shots.

Alex said: “The two big misconceptions about me are that I’m thick and my wife controls me.”

A source added: “There are stories about Kate bossing Alex but she is just trying to help.

“Offers for Alex are now starting to come in so it is paying off.”
