BRITAIN’S colossal £1.85billion benefi ts overspend is almost too mind-boggling for words.
How is it possible the Department for Work and Pensions could have paid out that much more than it should have
done?
How can a Government department dealing with OUR cash be so inept?
This is a time when everyone in Britain is tightening their belt because of pay freezes and increasing food and fuel prices.
Families across the UK are working at their budgets to save a few pounds here and there.
On top of this Gordon Brown has admitted that public services will need to be cut to pay for the country’s enormous deficit.
Can he not understand that eye watering figures like this are an insult to all the hard-working Brits trying to make ends meet?
While 1.6million people are living on handouts they don’t deserve, those who earn their money are being stabbed in the back.
It is all even more evidence that Gordon Brown's Government is a shambles.
