LIVE REVIEW: KERRANG! TOUR, ROUNDHOUSE, LONDON

ABOVE: All Time Low decided to play it safe for the last night
8th February 2010

THE final night of rock’s whizz round Britain was a traditional celebration of growling guitars, guttural yells and strangely pierced body bits.

UK electro rockers My Passion certainly looked on their last legs, all smeared mascara and funky looped beats making for accessible pop-rock.

Young Guns turned up the mosh factor Gallows-style, while Sean Smith from Welsh heroes The Blackout sent the adoring kids crazy with his band’s hip, happy hardcore clanging.

US headliners All Time Low dealt safer pop-punk singles out like playing cards, apeing Blink 182 and New Found Glory.

Singer Alex Gaskarth joked: “Thank God it’s the last night. Seriously, I’ve been drinking all day. That’s how we roll.”

The crowd staggered away doing customary devil salutes. Which, in this game, is the mark of true success.
