DESPERATE Kate Price has revealed the real reason she has returned to the jungle – to win back Peter Andre.

The babe let slip she is doing I’m A Celebrity to impress her ex-husband.

She hopes returning to the spot where they met will help Pete realise she is still the girl he married and he will want her back.

She told OK! magazine: “Hopefully he’ll watch the show and realise what a decent person I am.”

Kate, 31, even hopes to get family man Pete’s parents on side to impress him. She added: “The Palazzo Versace Hotel where all the contestants stay is about 10 minutes from where Pete’s family live.

“I hope they watch the show too and think: ‘That is the Kate we know.'”

But Pete’s dad Sawa blasted back: “You’d have to pay me to watch it.”

Kate also revealed her distress about her divorce after slipping back into the jungle kit she wore when their romance began.

She said: “When I tried on the shirt and the red bottoms again, I looked at myself in the mirror and I felt really excited.

“But then I started to feel quite sad. It brought back so many memories of Pete.”

Kate admitted she feels haunted by Pete.

She said: “I was having a shower and I’m sitting on a rock expecting Pete to walk past. It’s so surreal.

“I’ve been married, had kids and been divorced. It’s all over. So weird.”

The jungle maneater also vowed not to fall for another bloke as her ex watches the show despite flirting with former Hollyoaks hunk Stuart Manning, 30.

And after revealing her bid to win over Pete, she tried to insist that she was now happy with her cage fighter lover Alex Reid, 34.

She said: “I’m 100% not looking for love. The producers told me they’re putting a fittie in there, but I’m quite happy with the relationship that I’m in.”

Meanwhile Kate is getting lip-stick from fans over her “twitchy” mouth.

Fans sites and forums have been flooded with comments about how her upper lip doesn’t stay still.

“Tony” wrote: “What is going on with her lip? she couldn’t stop it shaking – even with her hand on it.”
